Overview
The Act imposes rights and obligations on land owners wishing to conduct works governed by the Party Wall etc. Act 1996. It imposes pre-established rights and obligations on owners and occupiers affected by the works. BAQUS offer Party Wall Surveyor and Party Wall Adviser services.

Corporate Appointment – up until a dispute is deemed to have arisen.
As a Party Wall adviser, BAQUS staff with the requisite technical skills and experience of administering the legislation give support and advice during the initial design phase. They provide assistance to mitigate the party wall influences and help design out ‘Notifiable Works’. Where ‘Notifiable Works’ remains, our surveyors will prepare and Serve Party Wall Notices.

Personal Appointment – Covers work after a dispute has arisen (dissent or non-response to a Notice).
