University of London

We have provided Cost Management and Quantity Surveying services for the University of London for two schemes, traditionally procured in excess of £40 million.

Student Centre/International Hall of Residence (£22m)

Complex combination of new build and refurbishment to create a total of 620 study bedrooms together with below basement areas refurbished to provide improved dining, social and leisure facilities. Also includes the sensitive restoration and conservation of eight Grade 2 listed five-storey Georgian terrace houses together with the creation of an outdoors garden surrounded by covered arcades.

College Hall Redevelopment (£19m)

The refurbishment of existing hall of residence and six Georgian houses. Also, new build to provide new student accommodation. This is an infill project on an extremely congested urban site with very complex site logistics.

Through a pro-active and detailed approach, the first of these schemes was delivered on time and within the client’s budget in December 2004. The second commission was secured shortly after and was completed at the end of June 2007.
