Bournemouth International Centre
BAQUS have been instructed by Bournemouth Borough Council and the Bournemouth International Centre to manage two of their recent refurbishment projects to improve this national conference venue situated in the centre of Bournemouth.
The centre opened in 1984 and regularly holds national exhibitions, entertainment events and annual political party conferences.
The first project involved alterations and refurbishment to upgrade the existing office facilities and aid the re-planning of staff to aid working practices. The projects also included the improvement of access for both staff and visitors to the centre.
The next phase of refurbishment involves the major refurbishment of the Tregonwell Hall. BAQUS have been appointed as Designers, Project Co-ordinators and CDM Co-ordinators for this project.
With the creation of the Bournemouth leisure and cultural trust it is hoped that this will drive further improvements to the BIC following the savings in business rate relief and VAT exemptions that result from the new trust status.
