This month, the London Festival of Architecture returns with the theme of “Belonging”, bringing more than 400 events across the capital and encouraging the built environment sector to ask a vital question: who are our buildings and spaces designed for?

 

Inclusive, sustainable and successful builds depend on early collaboration between clients, consultants, designers, contractors and communities. When project teams consider access, heritage, long-term use, safety, cost certainty and environmental performance from the outset, buildings are more likely to serve the people and communities they are created for.
